  • 5-Ethynyl-dU-CEP is a universal alkyne modifier that can be used under standard conditions for solid phase synthesis of oligonucleotides. It has shown to be incorporated into DNA oligomers with high coupling efficiency. Anyhow, the synthesis of an EdU oligo with a 5-Ethynyl-dU-CEP leads to some extent to a side product that can´t be purified with a normal HPLC. If you need the oligo in a higher purity, we suggest using TIPS -protected EdU-CEP (BCA-25). The oligo will be deprotected after the synthesis leading to the same product without the side product.
